The function of hydraulic lock

Hydraulic lock, as the name suggests, is a "lock", which locks the circuit and prevents the circuit oil from flowing, so as to ensure that the oil cylinder in the picture can still maintain its position even if there is a certain external load.

The specific structure of the hydraulic control check valve is a one-way valve with a hydraulic control port. There are valve seats, steel balls, springs, hydraulic control ports, control plungers, and three oil ports.

The hydraulic oil overcomes the force of the spring, pushes away the steel ball, and flows directly through it. The steel ball falls on the valve seat, and the oil cannot flow through it. It is necessary to connect the control oil with pressure at one port. The control oil acts on the control plunger, pushing the plunger forward. The plunger is connected to the push rod, and the push rod pushes open the steel ball. ball so that the hydraulic oil can flow "reversely".

The function of the hydraulic lock is to interlock. When the slide valve is in the neutral position, the left and right cylinders of the hydraulic cylinder are in a static state under the action of the two one-way valves; but when the slide valve is in the right position and oil is inlet, at this time The right one-way valve injects oil, and at the same time controls the oil circuit to open the left one-way valve to drain oil; the same applies when the slide valve is in the left position.

Hydraulic system advantages:

Small size and light weight; high stiffness, high precision, fast response; large driving force, suitable for heavy-load direct drive; wide speed range, various speed control methods; self-lubricating, self-cooling and long life; easy to achieve safety protection.

Disadvantages of hydraulic system:

Poor ability to resist working fluid contamination; sensitive to temperature changes; potential leakage; difficult to manufacture and high cost; not suitable for long-distance transmission and requires hydraulic energy
